Tourist visa requirements:
  1. Original passport valid for at least 6 months beyond entry date, with 1 blank visa page and no Israeli stamps in it
  2. Completed and signed visa application form
  3. 2 recent passport size photographs
  4. Government authorization or approval document to enter Libya – copy of the visa reference number from Libya (usually supplied by a Libyan tour operator)
  5. An original letter of employment from the applicant's UK employer. This letter must:
    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • Include the start date and position held in the company
    • Confirm that the applicant is an employee of the company
    • Specify the purpose of journey
    • State the applicant's expected date of leave and return to work date
    • Include the company registration number
    • Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's HR department
    • Be written within one month of visa application submission
  6. Students must submit a letter with similar content from their college/university.
  7. Copy of round trip tickets or airline/travel agency itinerary


Business Visa requirements:
  1. Original passport valid for at least 6 months beyond entry date, with 1 blank visa page and no Israeli stamps in it
  2. Completed and signed visa application form
  3. 2 recent passport size photographs
  4. Government authorization or approval document to enter Libya (usually supplied by a Libyan corporate sponsor)
  5. A business letter of responsibility from the applicant’s employer in the UK is required addressed to the Libyan Embassy – London. The letter must:
    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • Specify the purpose of journey
    • Include the name of the organisation(s) to be visited
    • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
    • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
    • Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's HR department
